JOB DETAILS: Data Officer
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Entering quickly and accurately clinical, laboratory, tracking or other forms into database under the monitoring of District Data Coordinator, Data Supervisor and reporting to the Site Manager.
• Producing, reviewing and sharing as per agreed schedule weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for various program areas such as HTS, index testing, enhanced PITC, PMTCT and TB/HIV.
• Routinely analyzing and producing lists of patients for follow up such as missing appointment, LTFU, Viral Load, etc.
• Facilitating simple data analysis and interpretation at the facility level to encourage data use for planning and decision making at the facility level.
• Communicating both verbally and in writing with supervisors regarding forms with problems.
• Monitoring various databases at the facility and communicate both verbally and in writing with supervisors regarding database challenges.
• Reconciling differences between different databases by running queries, reviewing appropriate form and correcting all differences.
• Locating and review archived or filed forms if necessary.
• Attending data staff meetings at the specified times.
• Communicating both verbally and in writing suggestions for improvements to data entry or data flow to supervisors.
• Performing other data tasks as assigned.
Requirements: Education, Work experience and Skills:
• Diploma in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Statistics or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or related field.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a data entry officer in the HIV/AIDS program settings.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Kiswahili.
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintains confidentiality in all aspects.

JOB DETAILS: Purpose, Objectives and Use
The activity aims at assessing the current sanitation situation in the respective areas of interest. The data collected will help BORDA to understand the current prevailing situation regarding environmental, technical and social aspects of sanitation and finally come up with design concept for the appropriate intervention. This activity will be conducted in two phases as detailed below;
2.1 DATA COLLECTION PHASE 1
• This phase will involve three regions namely; Zanzibar- West A , Dodoma and Korogwe.
• 2.1.1 Zanzibar-Urban West Region
• In this region, the consultant shall:
• Engage with West “A” Municipal government officials and obtain priority and critical specific sanitation challenges in the town where they would like to have it resolved, this could be a school, hospital or a certain ward/sub ward. (I.e. Dole-Kizimbani Ward)
• Conduct Transect walk with appropriate feasibility study forms and tools for data collection.
• Compile, analyze and validate the collected data.
• 2.1.2 Korogwe Town
• In this Town, the consultant shall:
• Engage with Korogwe town council and obtain priority and critical specific sanitation challenges in the town where they would like to have it resolved, this could be a school, hospital, Bus stand or a certain ward/sub ward.(i.e. Bagamoyo ward)
• Conduct Transect walk with appropriate feasibility study forms and tools for data collection.
• Compile, analyze and validate the collected data.
• 2.1.3 Dodoma Region
• In this region, the consultant shall:
• Engage with the City council of Dodoma and obtain priority and critical specific sanitation challenges in the town where they would like to have it resolved, this could be a school, hospital, or a certain ward/sub ward. (i.e. Viwandani and Madukani Wards)
• Conduct Transect walk with appropriate feasibility study forms and tools for data collection.
• Compile, analyze and validate the collected data.
• 2.2DATA COLLECTION PHASE 2
• This phase will involve three regions namely; Mwanza, Njombe, Tunduma.
• 2..1MwanzaRegion
• In this region, the consultant shall:
• Engage with the City council of Mwanza and obtain priority and critical specific sanitation challenges in the town where they would like to have it resolved, this could be a school, hospital, or a certain ward/sub ward. (i.e. Mabatini, Igogo, Isamilo and Pamba Wards)
• Conduct Transect walk with appropriate feasibility study forms and tools for data collection.
• Compile, analyze and validate the collected data.
• 2.2.2Njombe Region
• In this region, the consultant shall:
• Engage with Njombe Town Council and obtain priority and critical specific sanitation challenges in the town where they would like to have it resolved, this could be a school, hospital, or a certain ward/sub ward. (i.e. Njombe, Ramadhan and Mji Mwema)
• Conduct Transect walk with appropriate feasibility study forms and tools for data collection.
• Compile, analyze and validate the collected data.
• 2.2.3Tunduma Town
• In this Town the consultant shall:
• Engage with Tunduma Town Council and obtain priority and critical specific sanitation challenges in the town where they would like to have it resolved, this could be a school, hospital, or a certain ward/sub ward. (i.e. Kaloleni )
• Conduct Transect walk with appropriate feasibility study forms and tools for data collection.
• Compile, analyze and validate the collected data.
• Methodology
• The consultant shall be required to prepare and submit a detailed Data collection Methodology to be used and work plan for Task given.

• Logistics and timeline
• The data collection activity is expected to be conducted from August, 2022 to October, 2022. The key task & phases areas follow:
• Proposal phase: the consultant will be requested to submit a proposal (including methodological approach of data collection matrix), work plan and a budget breakdown for the consideration.
• Inception Phase: upon approval of data collection proposal, the consultant is expected to review the internal and external documents to develop a detailed methodology including the data collection tools and actual work plan.
• Preparation & Field Phase: In coordination with BORDA and local partners, arrangement of interviews,stakeholder meetings and other data collection as relevant
• Reporting Phase: develop a report as per BORDA research guidelines,consolidate the feedback received from BORDA and submit the final report. The consultant should be available for questions and call if there is a need.
• Presentation or participation in the planning workshop: the consultant might be requested to participate in the project design verification workshop (if relevant).

• Budget
• The consultant individual/company is expected to submit financial proposal with the detailed work plan for data collection. The budget should include any cost related to the task, any costs beyond the proposed budget will not be approved by BORDA Tanzania.
Selection Criteria and Technical Expertise
• At least 1 year of expertise to carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis related to the topic of this procurement.
• Minimum a Bachelor Degree in any field.
• The consultant is an individual or company.
• Commitment to have enumerators to assist on data collection (at consultant’s cost).
• Fluent in Swahili and English.
• In-country experience of data collection.
• Must have mobile data collection software.
