Job Summary:
The Weighing Clerk is responsible for accurately weighing all incoming and outgoing Agriculture Commodities in the warehouse, ensuring that all weight data is correctly recorded and verified. The role ensures transparency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and trade standards in the handling of Agriculture Commodities.

Weighing Operations
- Conduct accurate weighing of all Agriculture Commodities during receiving, storage, processing, and dispatch stages.
- Calibrate and verify weighing scales regularly to ensure precision and compliance with standards.
- Record all weights clearly in the weighing logbooks, system, or dispatch documents.
- Cross-check weight tickets and ensure they match delivery notes, invoices, or goods received vouchers.
Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain daily weight records for all transactions (inbound and outbound).
- Prepare weight certificates, reports, and summaries for management and audit purposes.
- Ensure proper labeling and traceability of weighed batches or lots.
Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with warehouse staff, loaders, and quality officers to ensure accurate and timely weighing.
- Communicate discrepancies in weight or documentation immediately to the Warehouse Manager.
- Support the logistics team in verifying truck tare and gross weights for dispatch.
Equipment Care & Safety
- Ensure weighing equipment is well-maintained, clean, and calibrated.
- Report any faults or damage to weighing scales immediately.
- Observe all warehouse safety protocols during loading and weighing operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the pulses, grains, or commodities sector.
- Basic computer literacy (Excel, or warehouse system experience is an added advantage).
- Attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of standard weighing procedures and calibration practices.
Key Competencies:
- High level of integrity and honesty.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good record-keeping and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- Work environment is primarily in the warehouse and weighbridge areas.
- May involve working extended hours during peak seasons.
- Requires adherence to safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- May be assigned to another related role, or post/location at any time during the contract period.
