3 to 5 years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations management, preferably in an FMCG or multinational environment.

Location Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

• Strong sense of organization, accuracy, and method in managing transportation and logistics operations
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret transport data, KPIs, and operational reports
• Proficiency in office automation tools and relevant transport/logistics systems (e.g., Excel, TMS, fleet management tools)
• Solid knowledge of transportation operations, routing, fleet management, and basic operational management practices
• Team player with rigor, reliability, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
• Proactive, with strong initiative and problem-solving skills in operational and logistics matters
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear reporting and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Your challenges

• Translate transportation strategy, policies, and operational guidelines into actionable transport processes, ensuring effective implementation on the ground.
• Monitor transportation activities, analyze operational and cost data, and share insights with management and relevant departments.
• Conduct or coordinate transport audits and performance reviews to ensure efficiency, compliance, and safety standards are met.
• Develop, formalize, and continuously improve transportation procedures, ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
• Collect and maintain all required transportation data and documentation to support reporting, audits, and operational decision-making.
• Manage transport budgets, cost forecasts, and performance metrics in coordination with finance and operations teams.
• Ensure timely reporting of transport activities, cost tracking, and monitoring of expenditures against budget.
• Develop a strong understanding of company operations to assess transportation impacts across departments and the supply chain.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and internal control processes.
