About the Position

C. Steinweg Bridge Tanzania Ltd is looking for a qualified and motivated Transport Controller to join its Transport Administration team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring transport logistics operations while ensuring efficient movement of import, export, local, and transit cargo.

Geographic Reference

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and follow up transport logistics for import, export, local, and transit cargo operations.
• Track cargo and truck movements, provide regular status updates, and ensure proper border clearance.
• Manage transport bookings, liaise with carriers, and ensure smooth transport operations.
• Follow up and maintain transport documents, payments, and all relevant charges.
• Prepare reports, process invoicing, and maintain accurate records and files.
• Communicate with clients and resolve transport-related inquiries promptly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in transport processes and service delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Transport Logistics, Clearing and Forwarding, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in transport logistics.
• High level of computer literacy, including MS Office, Email, and Outlook. Knowledge of SAP, BOS, or TANCIS will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, decisive, and customer-focused attitude.
