OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

To execute and maintain an effective ore mining and movement process to ensure that only the right ore materials are delivered to the mill.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist with ore marking and grade control activities
• Support sampling, data collection, and logging
• Maintain accurate records and communication with operations teams
• Accurately mark ore and waste boundaries in accordance with grade control instructions
• Assist in ensuring minimal ore dilution and loss
• Verify that mining follows planned ore outline
• Support geologists in ore body identification and delineation
• Assist in monitoring ore quality and consistency
• Identify and report deviations from expected grades
• Work closely with mining operations teams to guide ore extraction
• Communicate ore boundaries and instructions clearly to operators
• Support alignment between planning and execution
• Conduct routine underground or open-pit inspections
• Verify compliance with ore control procedures
• Identify risks such as misclassification of ore and waste

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• Certificate of Secondary education (Form 4)
• Valid Tanzanian Driving License

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum of 3 to 5 yrs working in a mining related environment
• Experience supporting ore marking, sampling, and grade control activities
• Exposure to underground or open-pit mining operations
• Experience of working with geology or mining teams in production environments
• Practical experience in sample collection, handling, and logging
• Experience assisting with ore/waste identification and control processes
• Familiarity with basic mining plans and ore body interpretation
• Experience working in shift-based or field-based roles
• Exposure to data recording, reporting, and basic documentation
• Experience adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards
