Job Summary:

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily on-site operations, ensuring that work is carried out safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They act as the crucial link between management and the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Leadership: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, tradespeople, or operational staff.
  • Workflow Management: Assign tasks, interpret drawings and plans, and ensure the timely completion of daily goals.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies. Conduct toolbox talks and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards. Ensure work complies with building codes and quality standards.
  • Resource Coordination: Liaise with other supervisors, project managers, and site foremen to allocate labor, materials, and equipment efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve on-site issues, conflicts, and delays promptly, reporting major problems to the Project Manager.
  • Reporting: Maintain daily site reports, including progress updates, manpower hours, and incident reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in a supervisory role within the relevant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction/operational processes, safety protocols, and quality control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and schematics.
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, IOSH) are highly desirable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in a relevant field is a plus.
