On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Officer to lead procurement operations and ensure efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective sourcing. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, sharp problem‑solving abilities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions while safeguarding organizational interests.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and Tanzanian regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, manage reorder points, and coordinate with departments to avoid shortages or excesses.
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost optimization and value for money.
• Identify potential risks in procurement processes and implement mitigation strategies.
• Continuously review procurement processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.
• Generate periodic procurement reports and present insights to management for informed decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance standards in Tanzania.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPSP, CIPS) is an added advantage.
