Taasisi ya Utafiti wa Mifugo Tanzania (TALIRI) is seeking to fill one position for a Research Assistant (Parastatal Researcher) in Veterinary Medicine.

Responsibilities or duties

• To assist in data collection in on-farm and on-station experiments;
• To assist in keeping research findings and records;
• To assist senior researchers in preparation research reports;
• To assist in the field data collection, computer data entry and analysis and in a gathering of relevant literature under the close supervision of Senior Researcher;
• To prepare and submit a technical report to the respective supervisor;
• To prepare and submit a draft manuscript to respective supervisor for review;
• To train and supervise other Technicians;
• To assist in the planning of specific research projects;
• To assist in preparing fundable research proposals and consultancies; and
• To perform any other official duties as may be assigned by his supervisor.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields; Veterinary Sciences, Veterinary Medicine or equivalent qualifications from recognized institution with a minimum GPA of 3.5 or an overall minimum pass of grade B+ for unclassified Degrees.
