Job Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable and licensed Radiology Professional to join our academic team in Arusha. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the Radiology course, blending theoretical classroom instruction with practical, hands-on training in medical imaging. We need an educator who can simplify complex physics and anatomy for students while maintaining high clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans for Radiology, including Radiation Physics, Radiographic Technique, and Patient Care.
• Practical Training: Lead students in practical sessions involving X-ray positioning, ultrasound techniques, and darkroom/digital processing.
• Clinical Supervision: Oversee students during their clinical rotations or lab work to ensure safety and technical accuracy.
• Student Assessment: Design and grade examinations, practical assessments, and research projects to monitor student progress.
• Radiation Safety: Teach and enforce strict adherence to radiation protection protocols (ALARA principles).
• Equipment Management: Ensure all training imaging equipment is maintained and used according to safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging / Radiology (or a higher qualification) from a recognized university.
• Registration: Must be registered with the Medical Radiology and Imaging Professionals Council (Tanzania) with a valid practicing license.
• Teaching Skills: Strong ability to explain technical medical concepts, excellent public speaking skills, and patience with learners.
• Language: Proficiency in English and Swahili.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and the physics of medical imaging.

• Previous experience in a teaching or clinical instruction role.
