Position Summary

Nyati Minerals Sands seeks to employ Procurement and Contract Officer, reporting to Procurement Manager, the purpose of this role is to Manage and assess products, services, suppliers and negotiating contracts, across Nyati Mineral Sands operations.

• Develop procurement standards.
• Making sure suppliers have enough stock to meet demand.
• Monitoring internal stock levels.
• Daily management of incoming order requests from customers.
• To procure locally sources items approved by department leader.
• Maintain and update a list of suppliers.
• Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards.
• Negotiate pricing and supply contract.
• Maintain purchase records and other important data
• Estimate and establish budget for purchases
• Create and maintain relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Coordinate the timely process and payment of all supplier payment and other transactions with accounts
• Processing and follow through signing of purchase contracts
• Assisting to develop and maintain various procurement plans and strategies
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to speak and write good English and Kiswahii is required.
• A Valid Tanzania Driving License.

• Degree in Procurement, Supply chain management or relevant field.
• Certified Member on Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technician Board (PSPTB)
