Product Manager; Retail Liabilities
Job Location : Head Office, Hq
Job Purpose:
• Responsible for liability product development for Retail Banking and its end-to-end life cycle monitoring.
• Liability Product management and profitability monitoring to identify areas that require fix, improvements and or amendment.
• Responsible for products’ features enhancements and revamps where need be to ensure that all product features are relevant to customer’s needs and market competition in the industry.
• Weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually monitoring and evaluation of Liability Products for Retail Banking profitability and suggest way forward for underperformance is any.
• Responsible for developing, reviewing and ensure that tariff related to Retail Banking Liability Products is well developed and approved to reflect proper pricing of Retail Banking Liability products and services that is in line with bank’s budget.
Main Responsibilities:
• Developing, implementing and managing a compelling Retail banking portfolio of liability products for both foreign and local currencies.
• Manage the Retail Banking Liability product lifecycle from idea generation to conceptualization, design and development, implementation including UAT, Pilot and launch.
• Proper management of introducing a new product by developing and executing respective Communication on specific products to all branches. Ensure all branches are knowledgeable of any new product and that we have a clear public launch plan.
• Ensure new products are in line with controls, customer centric concept and are fairly priced. Ensure all new products are approved and are in line with regulations (BOT, FIU, TCRA and all other relevant regulators)
• Monitor, assess, and report new products framework and ensure the same is in line with banks projections, targets and budget.
• Analyze, manage and identify all system faults that affect product performance then, suggest areas of improvement, get approvals for improvement and ensure approved changes/enhancements are implemented within agreed time.
• Responsible for compliance and regulatory issues for Retail Banking Liability products and services before, during and after development and implementation.
• Play a key role of innovative Retail Banking Liability products which will drive and enhance bank deposits.
• Manage internal relationship with all stakeholders (Technology, Risk, Marketing, Operation, compliance etc.) to ensure any introduced new or existing product is accordance to bank risk appetite, customer needs and can drive sales.
• Regular (Quarterly/Semi-Annually/Annually) Competitor Review vis-à -vis Retail Liability Product Offering.
• Responsible for Income targets strategies and product profitability analysis
• Being pro-active to identify products issues and resolve them timely
• Improve product portfolio within authority level according to set standards.
Knowledge and Skills:
• A comprehensive knowledge of Tanzanian Banking products and systems that support them.
• Pricing and revenue monitoring skills
• Conversant in Customer segmentation, Pricing and Product Development procedures/processes.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Conversant of product offerings in the wider financial services industry.
• A wide knowledge of NMB strategy and policies

Qualifications and Experience:

Job Purpose:
• Providing leadership and oversee of internal audit for Head office and Branch audits on achieving the purpose and objectives of the Internal Audit Function. Responsible for working with CIA in developing and execution of a risk based annual audit plan approved by the Board, reporting, and following up on the implementation of audit recommendations for banks internal control improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute risk based annual internal audit work plans and programs approved by the Board.
• Assist the Chief Internal Auditor to draft, review and update Internal Audit policies, strategy and manuals for Board approval.
• Manage the audit team in assisting the business to implement controls and mitigate risks
• Lead discussions with business leaders regarding audit observations and root cause of issues, coordinate management actions and responses.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in ICT that impact the ICT risks and cyber security in the bank and the possibilities to investigate using ICT.
• Identify the relevant operating risks that may affect the organization and assess their likelihood of occurrence and the potential impact on the business
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and the operating systems
• Provide support in ensuring that audit activities are carried out as per the audit professional guidelines and other applicable guidelines (International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA))
• Review audit findings with auditors, appraise the management and prepare reports for CIA to the Board Audit Committee raised by external auditors
• Carry out investigation and special audits as requested by management, Board, or red flags noted by auditors
• Stakeholder management with the bank, Bank of Tanzania and external auditors/consultants
• Departmental budget planning, implementation, and cost control.
• Manage the Audit team, hierarchically and functionally, supporting the direct reports in their professional development. Develop and execute the department’s strategy and plan; achieve results through the team.
• Ensure full compliance, provide insights as well as monitor the implementation of various consumer protection requirements across business area/Unit
• The position is also responsible for coaching and developing audit staff and managing the department budget planning and control.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Ability to exercise critical thinking and professional skepticism in the audit process
• Solid knowledge of applying internal audit standards (IPPF) to perform value adding internal audit services
• Knowledge of risks and controls of a bank as well as banking regulations
• Analytical mind with the ability to interpret key data/facts.
• Knowledge of ICT and audit tools such as data analytics software such as ACL, IDEA and audit management software such as teammate, Microsoft vision etc
• Eye for detail in checks and balances, rules and processes, risk, and governance

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in business studies (Accounting, Finance, Economics) from a recognized university
• Must be registered member with the NBAA as a Certified Public Accountant
• Possession of professional auditing or accounting qualification i.e., CIA, ACPA, CISA, ACCA and a post graduate degree in business or finance is an added advantage.
• At least 7 years’ experience in audit 4 of which should be at managerial level in a bank or an audit firm responsible for financial institutions.

Main Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, troubleshoot, resolve or escalate and provide overall accountability for the daily activities of business support for Data Center Infrastructure.
• Provide coordination, planning and execution of routine and corrective maintenance tasks for all Data Center Infrastructure i.e MEP equipment, Compute, Network, Storage and Backup systems
• Provide statistics and reports to support management decision making process.
• Support business units through the provisioning of Rackspace, network connectivity, and deploying IT infrastructure into the provisioned rack space.
• Conduct thorough assessments on electrical, mechanical and plumbing system failures and suggest feasible solutions to counter identified challenges
• Prepare various system monthly reports and maintain incidents RCA register for proper referencing.
• Coordinate system patch and release management compliant to patch life cycle management best practices and ensure proper inventory list is maintained always
• Evaluating overall performance and capacity of Data Center Infrastructure and providing recommendations for improving performance.
• Ensure adherence to Data Centre Infrastructure policies, processes and procedures for all virtualization, backup and storage systems is maintained
• Ensure compliance of IT enterprise infrastructure policies, procedures, guidelines and best practices.
• Provision of DR compute environment and ensure they are highly available for security of bank’s data and compliance.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of Server Infrastructure is primary requirement
• Experience in installation, configuration and administration of virtual and containerized environments preferably VMware, Oracle Linux KVM, OVM.
• Knowledge of implementing and providing support for engineered systems i.e. Converged, Hyperconverged, Oracle Supercluster infrastructure.
• Knowledge and experience of Windows, Oracle Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux flavors, Solaris.
• Basic Knowledge of network systems especially Cisco platforms.
• Basic Knowledge of electrical and cooling systems.
• Competency in system Hardware and Software troubleshooting.
• Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in English and Swahili.
• Strong Planning and organizing skills
• Project Management skills
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Engineering or related academic fields.
• IT professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional Datacenter Virtualization (VCP-DCV) will be an added advantage
• Linux and Window Server Certifications will be added advantage.
• CCNA Certification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience on server and MEP infrastructure support
