Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the smooth and efficient daily operations of the lodge, ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a diverse team of hospitality professionals, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Ensure all departments including housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, and guest services operate in harmony and to standard.
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience through personalized service and attention to detail.
  • Manage lodge finances, including budgeting, cost control, stock management, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment, staff training, on-boarding, and performance management.
  • Maintain operational infrastructure, ensuring facilities, equipment, and grounds are well-kept and maintained.
  • Enforce compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and local laws.
  • Contribute to and implement long-term strategic plans, business development initiatives, and sustainability practices.
  • Represent the lodge in interactions with partners, stakeholders, and guests, upholding the lodge’s brand and values.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a luxury lodge or 5-star hotel, preferably in a luxury safari or wilderness lodge setting.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, reporting, and stock control.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Deep knowledge of food and beverage service and hospitality industry standards.
  • High attention to detail with a hands-on, proactive management style.
  • Passion for Eco-tourism, wildlife, and delivering unique safari experiences.
