Develop and implement asset recovery strategies.

  • Create a centralized database of deployed assets by region and category.
  • Design recovery plans for underutilized, idle, or obsolete assets.
  • Coordinate with finance to track depreciation and cost–benefit of recovery.
  • Prioritize recovery based on commercial value and strategic importance.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks during recovery.

Monitor asset utilization and lifecycle.

  • Implement periodic audits (monthly/quarterly) of asset usage in field operations.
  • Track utilization KPIs (uptime, downtime, replacement cycles, ROI).
  • Use digital tracking tools (e.g. QR, GPS) for real-time monitoring.
  • Identify assets nearing end-of-life and plan timely redeployment or disposal.
  • Share utilization dashboards with management for decision-making.

Coordinate with field teams and logistics for asset tracking.

  • Build a clear handover and accountability process for assets with field staff.
  • Engage logistics partners for safe and timely retrieval/transfer of assets.
  • Ensure accurate documentation (receipts, transfers, movement logs).
  • Set up escalation matrix for untraceable or delayed asset returns.
  • Train field teams on SOPs for asset handling and reporting

Ensure compliance with asset management policies. 

  • Align all recovery and disposal activities with Airtel’s asset governance framework.
  • Conduct periodic policy awareness sessions for field and distribution teams.
  • Ensure audit readiness by maintaining updated asset registers.
  • Flag and report any deviations from standard policies immediately.
  • Implement corrective action plans post-audit findings.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications & Functional/Technical Skills

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in telecom or FMCG sectors preferred.
  • Strategic Thinking

Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)

  • Minimum of 5 years in operations management.
  • Proven experience in logistics and asset management is an added advantage.

Other requirements (Behavioral etc.)

  • Ability to drive execution with focus, urgency, and accountability to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Effectively and efficiently prioritizes customer needs and ensures fairness, transparency, and satisfaction.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across teams and partners communicates and influences effectively.
  • Consistently acts with ownership, resourcefulness, and agility; embraces innovation and calculated risk-taking.
