Minimum qualifications

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields:

• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Information Technology
• Telecommunications
• Equivalent related field

Required experience

Applicants must have:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in solution, application, or enterprise architecture roles.
• At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following sectors:
  • Fintech
  • Mobile money
  • Digital banking
  • Telecom

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in architecture, banking platforms, cloud systems, and multi-market technology environments.

Applicants should have:

• Hands-on architectural experience with core wallet and/or core banking platforms.
• Prior exposure to platforms such as:

  • Ericsson Wallet Platform
  • Huawei CPS
  • Temenos
  • Finacle
  • Equivalent platforms
• Proven track record designing solutions across multiple domains, including:
  • Payments
  • Lending Management Systems

• Strong cloud architecture experience with AWS and/or Azure, including:

Your challenges

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and supporting end-to-end technology solutions across digital financial services and infrastructure environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design end-to-end solutions for new initiatives and changes across:
  • Core wallet
  • Core banking
  • Payments
  • Lending Management Systems
  • Cards
  • Agent and merchant management
  • KYC/AML
  • Fraud
  • Mobile apps
  • USSD
  • APIs
  • Data platforms
• Own solution design for deployments, upgrades, and swaps, including:
  • Data model
  • Integration topology
  • Migration architecture
• Design hybrid and cloud deployments for Digibank and Fintech workloads across:
  • AWS
  • Azure
  • On-premise environments
• Ensure deployments include appropriate:
  • Landing zones
  • Network segmentation
  • Identity controls
• Embed security-by-design principles, including:
  • Identity and access management
  • Encryption in transit and at rest
  • Key management
  • Secrets handling
  • Zero-trust patterns where appropriate
• Contribute to Architecture Review Boards and design authority forums.
• Approve or reject designs against agreed criteria.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Data, Risk, and Business teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Design end-to-end solutions for new initiatives and changes across: Core wallet, Core banking, Payments, Lending Management Systems, Cards, Agent and merchant management, KYC/AML, Fraud, Mobile apps, USSD, APIs, Data platforms
• Own solution design for deployments, upgrades, and swaps, including: Data model, Integration topology, Migration architecture
• Design hybrid and cloud deployments for Digibank and Fintech workloads across: AWS, Azure, On-premise environments
• Ensure deployments include appropriate: Landing zones, Network segmentation, Identity controls
• Embed security-by-design principles, including: Identity and access management, Encryption in transit and at rest, Key management, Secrets handling, Zero-trust patterns where appropriate
• Contribute to Architecture Review Boards and design authority forums.
