Background

The Media Council of Tanzania (MCT) is an independent, non-governmental organization committed to promoting media freedom, professionalism, responsible journalism, and access to information in Tanzania. As part of expanding its strategic and professional services, MCT has established Media Intelligence Consulting Services (MICS), a specialized consulting company operating within MCT to provide expert solutions in strategic communication, media relations, professional development, ethical and regulatory consulting, media intelligence, communication analysis, research, investment advisory, and strategic consulting services to institutions, organizations, businesses, and development partners.

VACANT POSITIONS

HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, MARKETING AND INVESTMENT

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products and services for MICS;
• Conduct market research and identify business opportunities;
• Develop and manage investment plans and strategic partnerships;
• Lead marketing and client acquisition initiatives;
• Prepare business proposals and investment strategies;
• Identify sustainable income-generating opportunities;
• Coordinate targeted outreach initiatives, workshops, and engagement events;
• Support expansion and growth of MICS services and client portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or related field;
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in business development, marketing, or investment management;
• Strong analytical, marketing, and negotiation skills;
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications;
• Strong report writing skills in English and Kiswahili;
