General Manager- Clearing And Fowarding

Responsibilities or duties

• Lead the overall management and growth of the clearing and forwarding business.
• Oversee day-to-day clearing and forwarding operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Ensure full compliance with TRA regulations, customs procedures, and all applicable legal requirements.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team across operations, documentation, and sales.
• Take full ownership of the company's financial performance (P&L) and prepare regular performance reports.
• Develop and implement business growth strategies to increase market share and profitability.
• Monitor and improve turnaround time for clearing and forwarding files.
• Maintain a strong compliance record by ensuring adherence to regulatory and operational standards.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, customs authorities, and other key stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
• Support the long-term strategic vision of the business, including preparing for a future equity partnership opportunity.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field (Diploma candidates with a strong track record in the industry will also be considered)
• TRA/TAFFA clearing and forwarding agent registration or licence; membership in relevant industry bodies an advantage.
• MS Office, TANCIS customs system, ERP/logistics management systems

Experience needed

• 8 Years
• Strong working knowledge of clearing and forwarding operations, cargo handling, bonded warehousing and customs procedures
