Kagera Sugar Limited invites self-motivated, honest, hardworking, dynamic, committed, and suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the vacancies mentioned below within the Agriculture Department.
Responsibilities or duties
- To manage all farming activities, timing, and quality standards related to cane production within the section.
- To ensure that all assets within the section are well maintained.
- To implement continuous improvement practices and ensure that tools and techniques are applied to deliver high-quality cane production.
- To monitor farm budgets and implement cost reduction measures to ensure budget adherence.
- To ensure adherence to harvesting schedule and crop estimate cadence, and accurate reports are submitted on time.
- To ensure farm operations data are captured accurately and consistently.
- To oversee effective talent and performance management, developing skills within the section through on-the-job coaching.
- To conduct on-the-job training, provide instructions on execution of operations plans and identify new training needs where appropriate.
- To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications or requirements
Holder of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture General, Agronomy and Crop Production and Management or equivalent from a recognized higher learning institution.
Above average General Computer literacy.
Applicants should possess excellent communication skills.
Experience needed
Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in farming, preferably in sugarcane husbandry.
