Responsibilities or duties

● Teaching Diploma in Teaching subjects according to the official three-year curriculum.

● Preparing lesson plans, schemes of work and teaching materials before teaching.

● Teaching with theory and practice, focusing on learner-centred methods.

● Conducting continuous assessment, correcting students' work and providing timely feedback.

● Supervising and guiding students during teaching practice in schools.

● Preparing and administering internal examinations in accordance with the procedures of the College and NACTE.

● Attending and participating in professional meetings, workshops and seminars for professional development.

● Being a good example of ethics and discipline for students preparing to become teachers.

● Maintaining records of attendance and professional development of students.

● Carrying out other professional duties assigned to him/her by the College management.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

● Hold a Bachelor's Degree ONLY in the field of education or the subject he/she intends to teach — applicants with only a Diploma or Masters will not be considered for this position.

● Hold a recognized Professional Teaching Qualification/License.

Experience needed

● Have at least two (2) years of teaching experience in secondary schools, teacher training colleges, or primary schools.

Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)

● Be a professional teacher with a good track record and good teaching ethics.

● Knowledge of using ICT in teaching will be an added advantage.

● Ability to teach in Kiswahili and English.
