Job Description:

Department: Agriculture

Reports To: Bush Clearing / Land Development Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Data Clerk – Bush Clearing / Land Development will be responsible for collecting, entering, verifying, and maintaining accurate operational data relating to bush clearing and land-development activities. The role will support management reporting by ensuring daily field progress and equipment information is accurately captured.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and enter daily bush-clearing and land-development operational data.
  • Record information on cleared acreage, equipment utilization, machine hours, labour deployment, and completed activities.
  • Verify field information for accuracy and completeness before entering data into approved records or systems.
  • Maintain updated daily, weekly, and monthly operational trackers.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical records relating to land-development activities.
  • Assist in preparing progress summaries and routine operational reports.
  • Identify missing or inconsistent information and coordinate with field personnel for correction.
  • Ensure data is properly stored, confidential, accurate, and available for management review.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology, Records Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in data entry, records management, administration, or project documentation.
  • Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong data-entry, numerical, record-keeping, and information-management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and maintain large volumes of operational information.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work closely with field teams.
  • Experience handling agriculture, construction, earthworks, or land-development data will be an added advantage.
