Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and problem-solving Compliance Officer to oversee statutory adherence, internal policy implementation, and risk management at Arusha operations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor operational compliance with relevant national regulations, statutory frameworks, and company standards.
  • Review internal procedures, commercial contracts, and vendor agreements to identify legal risks or operational gaps.
  • Conduct regular internal compliance audits, prepare risk assessment reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain clear logs of regulatory filings, business license renewals, permits, and official government correspondence.
  • Serve as an internal guide for management and staff regarding statutory obligations, legal standards, and code of conduct.
  • Keep updated on changes in Tanzanian corporate, labor, and industry-specific legislation to advise leadership proactively.
  • Liaise with external legal advisors, regulatory authorities, and inspectors during official site evaluations.
  • Develop and deliver internal compliance training modules to ensure staff adhere to operational policies.
  • Investigate reported policy breaches or unethical conduct, presenting neutral findings to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university.
  • 1 to 2 years of active working experience in a legal or corporate compliance role.
  • Solid understanding of statutory regulatory compliance and labor laws.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and reporting skills with high attention to detail.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Arusha.
  • Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply).
