JOB DETAILS:

Songwe Regional Referral Hospital is seeking to fill the position of STATISTICIAN GRADE II (1 POST).

Responsibilities or duties

i. To design and develop a national system for collecting and coordinating statistics.

ii. To develop procedures for collecting statistics as well as procedures for sampling.

iii. To collect, analyse and submit statistics to higher levels.

iv. To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications or requirements

Applicants must have completed Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics or Mathematics or equivalent qualifications from a University recognized by the Government and possess skills in Information Communication Technology.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL APPLICANTS:

• All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged not less than 18 years and not more than 35 years.

• Applicants must have relevant academic certificates. Testimonials, provisional results, statements of results and Form Four result slips are NOT ACCEPTED.
• Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by TCU or NACTE.
• Applicants must attach certified copies of the following certificates, certified by a Lawyer:
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Certificate of completion of Form Four education.
  • Certificate of completion of Form Six education for those who completed Form Six.
  • Professional Certificate.
  • One Passport-size Photograph.
  • Licence from the relevant professional councils.
• Each applicant must attach a copy of a NIDA identity card or NIDA number.
• Submission of forged information and qualifications will result in legal action being taken against the respective individuals.
