JOB DETAILS:

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and qualified Senior Associate for our Tanzanian office to be part of a team in our Tax department unit.

OVERALL ROLE
The primary goal of this position is to lead the TAX Department in fulfilling clients’ requirements for Tax Consulting and Advisory assignments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute assignments in accordance with the firm’s standards, procedures, and methodologies, ensuring compliance with agreed timelines and budgets.
• Assist Managers, Directors, and Partners in delivering services to clients in diversified sectors.
• Develop and maintain good client and revenue authority relationship.
• Keep abreast with technical developments in the profession and the country, to anticipate client needs and to offer value added and practical business solutions
• Stay informed about technical developments in the profession and local regulations to proactively address client needs with innovative and practical business solutions.
• Prepare and file tax returns on behalf of clients with precision and attention to detail.
• Compile supporting financial statements and documents.
• Review work prepared by associates, ensuring quality standards and providing mentorship to foster professional growth.
• Handle Tanzania Revenue Authority Audits and respond to enquiries from regulatory agencies with confidence and professionalism.
• Conduct tax research to remain current on changes in regulations and practices.
• Provide advice on all Tax matters, that will provide added value to clients through insightful recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Tax or any other related field
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of tax related experience
• Good understanding of Tanzanian Tax regulations and compliance
• CPA/ACCA certification is a added advantage
• Work experience with a professional consulting or audit firm will be an added advantage
• Registered Tax consultant will be an added advantage
