JOB DETAILS:
Job Overview.
This role involves examining and solving problems related to crop management, output and quality, inspecting, and accepting produce, monitoring and preparing detailed reports. The position requires to fully participate into banana farming operations and oversee the interventions on behalf of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plant Growth: Develop better planting and cultivation of bananas in the farm to ensure quality production.
• Chemical Sourcing: Develop effective sourcing strategies leading to cost saving and value added collaborations while ensuring suppliers and chemicals are of high quality.
• Fertilizer Sourcing: Researching and promoting agricultural strategies to counter the effects of changes in soil, climate and weather.
• Disease Control: Testing samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other challenges ensuring optimal ripeness.
• Labor Management: Monitor all workers onsite to perform their duties assigned during working days, maintain consistent work schedule and fulfill the expected number of working hours
• Technical Services Management: Prepare comprehensive reports on banana operation and providing detailed insights and recommendations each month.
• Yield Projections: Developing and promoting better farming practices, ensuring consistent high yield.
• Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required by the organization.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor Degree in the related field. Masters will be an added advantage.
• Experience: 8 -12 years of similar or related work experience, specifically in fruit Quality Assurance (with a focus on bananas).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to use logical or scientific thinking to solve complex problems involving several abstract and concrete variables.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of working effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
