Regional Commercial Manager (2-Post Northern and Southern Cluster)
INDUSTRY: AGRICULTURE SECTOR
Simply Resource Solutions on behalf of our reputable Client, we are seeking for a Regional Commercial Manager (2posts). The Main Purpose of the Regional manager will be to transform the cluster into a customer facing business through implementation of Brand, Distributor, trade and marketing programs targeting end farmer, user influencers and our Route to Marketing partners.
The role will assume leadership role with direct reports.
RESPOSIBILITIES:
• Manage and drive the regional sales and commercial performance and engagements
• Providing leadership and direction to the regional sales, commercial and agronomy teams to ensure volume and revenue targets are delivered
• Implement the forecast and market demand levels, to ensure the customer objectives are achieved or exceeded
• Channel Management
• Implementation and maintenance of the commercial pricing systems
• Understanding of local markets and leveraging local insights to generate growth
• Brand Management
• Distributor Management
• Implementation of the Agronomy and Extension Services
• Provide regular updates on key issue of marketing emphasis
• Identification of regional potential business opportunities
• Appraisal of the Regional Commercial sales and agronomy team reports & performance
• Implement, manage and drive appropriate customer service frequency & Calling Program
• Negotiate with existing and potential Distributors on service, price, volume and delivery targets.
• Establishing the regional routes and maps
• Provide pricing support to Distributors
• Identify local preferences that strengthen brand differentiation and appeal
• Field day and farmer training occasions
• Understand the behavioral patterns of your team, trade and Distributors, explore ways to enhance performance
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Agriculture Studies, Business Studies / Marketing or related filed
• 5-10 years’ experience managing teams, excelling in sales, and participating in business development initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills
• Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels
• First class presentation skills
• Innovative with entrepreneurial flair
• Commercially astute and customer focused
• Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Hands on approach with a “can do” attitude
