JOB DETAILS:
Job Overview.
This role involves overseeing the activity of the quality assurance department, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for banana production operation and development processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support all export: Monitor production processes to ensure there is no deviation from the standards of banana operation industry
• Fruits & Vegetable QA inspection: Provide and oversee inspection activity for banana product throughout the production cycle.
• Responsible for container inspection: Follow up the implementation of quality and food safety and prepare and conduct inspection for the site and facilities.
• Support client purchases parameters: Coordinate with company customers for any requirements or requests related to the quality.
• Maintain strong understanding of export regulations: Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
• Packaging: Monitor packaging process of materials and products to ensure protection and preserving quality of bananas during transportation and storage so that they reach final destination in optimal condition.
• Handling: Develop and maintain most efficient ways to maximize material handling processes from the time bananas are harvested.
• Data loggers: Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards for banana operations
• In-depth container quality report: Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures, ensuring protection and safety of the produce all time.
• Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required by the organization.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor Degree in the related field. Masters will be an added advantage.
• Experience: 8 – 12 years of similar or related work experience, specifically in fruit Quality Assurance (with a focus on bananas).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to use logical or scientific thinking to solve complex problems involving several abstract and concrete variables.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of working effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
