JOB DETAILS:
Job Overview.
This role involves overseeing purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality, maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records by following procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory for the palm oil operations project.

Key Responsibilities:
• Control, register and document all purchase requests documents
• Support negotiation of interactional and national procurement categories: Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and costing.
• Support operational capacity of local suppliers: Responsible for order placement timing, supply/demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance evaluation.
• Support local contacts negotiation: Review and analyse all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
• Validate all supplier’s documentation: Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data supporting palm oil operations.
• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
• Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required by the organization.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Masters will be an added advantage.
• Experience: 4 – 5 years of similar or related work experience, specifically in procurement technician operations (with a focus on palm oil processing).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to use logical or scientific thinking to solve complex problems involving several abstract and concrete variables.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of working effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
