Job Description
Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and oversight for all operational aspects at the mining site. This will include leading the Geology and Mining functions, the Graphite Processing Facility, Health, Safety and Environmental service plus all other supporting services required to support a high-performance production environment.
• Ensure tasks are performed by adhering to the company’s Health and Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
• Lead and support the Mine teams in all stages of mine development, from operational readiness to steady-state production and future scale up developments.
• Act as a key member of the Tanzanian Leadership Team, shaping site strategy and operations in alignment with the company’s vision.
• Manage relationships with all key stakeholders incl. relevant regulatory authorities, the Ministry of Mines and local communities.
• Identify and mitigate operational, commercial, and business risks effectively
• Review and optimize contracts management, ensuring cost efficiency and service quality.
• Ensure timely completion of capital plans, strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Achieve budget targets and drive operational improvements.
• Develop and Implement operational controls and reporting.
• Supervise the preparation of short-term, annual, and long-term mine plans.
• Manage operational staff and implement development plans for staff to assist in optimizing organizational effectiveness.
• Provide accurate operational and financial information to enable informed decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Drive industry best practices in environmental, social, and governance programs.

Requirements
• Qualifications towards Leadership and Operational Management will be advantageous.
• 10 or more years’ managerial experience in a senior role within the mining industry.
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in a Mining related field.
