JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Network and Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. The
ideal candidate should have a strong background in fiber optic technologies and networking, with
hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor, Install, splice, and maintain fiber optic cables and networks.
• Configure and manage network equipment including Cisco, Juniper, and Mikrotik devices.
• Monitor network performance using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds.
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform regular maintenance.
• Document network configurations and maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a
related field.
• Proficiency in fibber optic technologies (e.g., OTDR, fusion splicing).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik) and software tools.

Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage):
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT).
• CompTIA Network+.

Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
