Invitation for Expression of Interest – Prequalification of Providers for Decoration Services

I. Introduction

Geita Gold Mining Limited (“The Company”), a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti (“AGA”), is located in north-western Tanzania, in the Lake Victoria goldfields of the Geita region, approximately 5 km from Geita town. The Company is seeking to prequalify service providers for the provision of events decoration services and invites eligible and interested applicants to submit their expressions of interest as detailed below.

Note: The documents requested below must be submitted when expressing interest in this service. Shortlisted applicants will be subjected to the AngloGold Ashanti vetting process.

II. Information Required

Pre-Qualification Requirements

Commercial:

• Company Code of Conduct and Ethics
• Copy of Current Business License
• Copy of Certificate of Incorporation, the most recent BRELA search, and the latest BRELA application of annual return
• Copy of Valid Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC), TIN Certificate, and VAT Registration Certificate
• Copy of Company Memorandum and Articles of Association
• Compliance with Mining Act – Approved Local Content Plan (Approval letter)

Financial Position and Terms of Trade:

• Applicants’ Audited Financial Statements for the latest three years (2021, 2022, 2023)
• Bank Statements of the Applicants’ active bank accounts for the past 6 months

Safety and Environmental Management Systems:

• OSHA Compliance Certificate
• Environmental Compliance Certificate
• Workers’ Compensation Fund Certificate
• Safety and Environmental Policy

Other Policies:

• Gifts/Hospitality/Sponsorship Policy/Procedure
• Policies/Procedures dealing with Forced and Child Labour
• Policies/Procedures dealing with Abuse, Discrimination, and Harassment
• Grievance Procedure
• Human Rights Policy/Procedure/Programme

Past Experience:

• At least 3 names of the applicant’s clients, including the value and duration of contracts entered into with clients in the past two years (must be listed)

Technical Criteria (GGME01931):

• Ability to provide professional decoration services, including concept design and creative design.
• Applicants must provide a company brochure/profile for each service intended to be provided.
• Experience providing similar services over the last 3 years. Evidence of contracts, LPOs, and presentation pictures/videos showcasing decoration services for corporate events for a capacity of at least 300 people must be provided.
• Provide an inventory of equipment relevant for decoration services, including a logbook showing details of the equipment/items available for decoration.

III. Submission Process

Interested companies must submit their Expression Letters of Interest (LOI) by quoting (GGME01931 – PROVIDERS FOR DECORATION SERVICES) in the subject line of the email. Applicants must also submit supporting information, stating the full name, address, telephone, and email address of the company, the name of the principal contact, and the submission must be signed by an authorized representative.

IV. Submission Deadline

All LOIs and supporting documentation (in PDF format) must be submitted to the Company via email at geita.eoi@anglogoldashanti.com without copying any individual from the Company. Submissions must be received no later than 8:30 AM on 7th November 2024 (the “EOI Submission Deadline”). EOI submissions must not exceed 150MB per email. If the email size exceeds 150MB, applicants must split their submissions into multiple emails.

V. Notification of Shortlisted Candidates

Shortlisted candidates will be notified within forty-five (45) calendar days from the submission deadline. Candidates who do not receive notification within this period should consider themselves unsuccessful.
