JOB DETAILS:
Position Title: Human Resource Manager
Reports To: General Manager
Location: Arusha, Tanzania

Summary:
We seek an energetic and experienced Human Resource Manager to head our human resource department. This position will reinforce a sound working atmosphere within the company and align our talented employees toward the company’s mission, thereby driving growth for the organization. The HR Manager shall take charge of ensuring that the human workforce remains motivated, skilled, and entirely focused on our goals by executing all human resource functions from recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment and Staffing:
Manage the full cycle of recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
Develop and maintain accurate job descriptions and specifications. Organize onboarding and orientation programs for new staff.
• Talent Development and Training:
Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development. Plan and implement effective training programs. Promote the career growth and advancement of all staff.
• Employee Relations:
Maintain a positive work environment and address employee concerns in a timely manner. Develop, enforce, and update human resources policies and procedures.
Handle disciplinary matters and resolve conflicts in a professional way.
• Performance Management:
Apply and manage performance appraisal systems. Advise supervisors and employees regarding performance feedback and improvement plans.
• Benefits and Compensation:
Administer benefits programs for employees, such as health insurance and retirement plans. Conduct salary surveys to maintain competitive compensation packages.
• Compliance and Legal:
Keep abreast of labor laws and regulations. Ensure that all human resources practices are compliant with the local and national employment laws. Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
• Diversity and Inclusion:
Promote and implement the initiatives of diversity and inclusion. Develop a culture of respect, inclusion, and equality.
• Safety and Health:
Manage workplace safety programs to ensure the working environment is safe and healthy. Effectively and promptly address health and safety concerns raised by employees.
• HR Reporting and Analytics:
Produce HR reporting and provide relevant data to support informed management decisions. Analyze Human Resources metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement.
• Employee Engagement and Recognition:
Design and implement programs aimed at improving staff morale and engagement.
Recognize and reward outstanding employee performance.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field. Master’s preferred.
• Proven experience in human resource management, preferably in the tourism or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in HR software, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite.
