Position: Head of Operations

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead and oversee all manufacturing operations across the company. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in operational excellence, production planning, financial management and supplier relations. This role requires someone who can drive efficiency, meet financial targets, manage day-to-day operational activities and lead a high-performing team while aligning operations with the company’s broader goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Leadership: Lead the overall management of manufacturing and farming operations, ensuring that production goals are met in terms of both quality and quantity.
• Efficiency & Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance operational workflows, identifying opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction. Implement best practices for increasing productivity and minimizing waste.
• Production Planning & Forecasting: Develop and manage production plans based on demand forecasting and capacity assessments. Ensure that resources are effectively allocated and timelines are met.
• Financial Oversight & Budget Management: Oversee the development and execution of budgets for all operations. Monitor financial performance, including cost control and profitability and work closely with the finance team to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
• Supplier & Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a steady supply of quality materials at competitive prices. Negotiate contracts and manage supply chain risks effectively.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor and develop the operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Ensure that staff are trained in operational best practices, health and safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all operations comply with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies. Maintain high levels of product quality control across all operations.
• Reporting & Communication: Provide regular operational reports to the senior management team, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and progress toward operational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Agriculture, Engineering or related field. MBA or advanced certification is a plus.

Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years in operations management, with a strong focus on manufacturing and production, preferably in agriculture or food processing sectors. Experience in leading cross-functional teams is essential.

Skills & Expertise:
• Strong background in production planning, forecasting and financial management.
• Proven track record in improving operational efficiency and managing budgets.
• Experience with supplier management, contract negotiations and inventory control.
• In-depth knowledge of agricultural or dairy operations, food processing or related fields is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.
