INRM supports integrated analysis and programming across development sectors. By using a multi-sectoral lens, INRM seeks to strengthen the impacts of USAID’s core environmental programming by recognizing synergies, adopting best practices, and building broader constituencies for integrated programming. The activity is designed to help USAID operating units achieve higher impact environment programming and to support the uptake of principles and approaches outlined in the Agency’s Environmental and Natural Resource Management Framework.

• opportunities to incorporate women and girls as leaders in uptake of climate-smart practices.
• Provide oversight and review of the Heshimu Bahari Gender Analysis, ensuring that it is done well and that the recommendations of the analysis are integrated into the activity results chains, work plan and MEL plan, in collaboration with the implementing partner’s long-term Gender Advisor.
• Review the Heshimu Bahari Gender and Vulnerable Populations Strategy and provide technical support to the Heshimu Bahari Gender Advisor to ensure its completion.
• In alignment with the initial gender analysis and overall activity approach, support the IP to develop a value chain assessment methodology that ensures a strong focus on gender, including gender-specific vulnerabilities to climate change.
