JOB DETAILS:
Data Center Operational Engineer In Dar Es Salaam And Mwanza Switch Main Station

Responsibilities include;
a) Installation, Management, Operation and Troubleshooting
• Mobile Section (NSS, BSS, SGSN, GGSN, MPBN, IPBN, DCN, Metro, SMSC) Operating on duty 24/7, troubleshooting any related to mobile
• Manage and Maintain the equipment’s hardware, the equipment’s connection cable and back-up accessories and supply in the general station
• Installation, Maintenance, downgrade, upgrade, plug the card, remove the card, rewiring, connecting any related to device’s hardware, equipment’s connecting cable
• Coordinate to project on rescuing information, involving in devices, cards, port connection cable
b) Mechanical-Electrical section (Managing equipment’s of all this section: AC, DC, UPS, Generator, air-conditioner, Fire protection, lightening protection). Operating on duty 24/7, troubleshooting any related to Mechanical-Electrical in General
• station. Responsible before the board of directors (BOD) for Mechanical and Electrical activities in the general station
• Planning, Optimization, Maintenance and repair, Installation and replacing system related to mechanical -electrical activities in the general station
• Manage database of Mechanical-Electrical in the general station
• Join in researching, testing, proposing and implementing new technology.
c) Transmission, Billing and VAS Section (Managing equipment’s of these section: DWDM, SDH, ART, PRT, AGG, BCCS, OCS, OSS). Operating on duty 24/7, troubleshooting any related to Transmission in General station
• Responsible for safety and security of equipment’s in the general station
• Transmission resource management: transmission Nodes, ODF and fiber optic cable
• Connecting to stream in general station, welding, installation, upgrading and replacing transmission equipment, transmission server system in general station
• Testing and Measuring fiber links, periodically maintaining the equipment system in the general station
d) Routine Maintenance of Equipment inside Dar & Mwanza Server room
• Maintaining of Air Filter of Telecom equipment in switch room
• Removing dust from Fan Module
• Removing dust from boards of Telecom equipment
• Removing dust from Optical interfaces and connectors
e) Ground System Maintenance
• Measuring the Ground Resistance
• Ensure electrical contact points such as screw holes, guide lines, lifting ears between the metallic parts and Cabinets is well contacted.
• Ensure Each cabinet is connected to ground bars

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanics and Electronics Engineering/ Electromechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering and related fields.
• Strong experience working with power systems and cooling equipment
• Experience working with variety of IT hardware’s such as servers, cables.
• Knowledge with firefighting skills is an added advantage
• Analytic skills
• Troubleshooting skills
