JOB TITLE: CIVIL ENGINEER TECHNICIAN IN QUALITY CONTROL OF MATERIALS

JOB BRIEF:
We IZUNGO APARTMENTS & TOURS LIMITED T/A IZUNGO CONCRETE POLES , Who are established and reputable Manufacturers of SPUN PRESTRESSED CONCRETE POLES having a factory at Plot:04 Block : G LIGHT INDUSRIERS AREA,Bagamoyo District Coast Region Tanzania .We are recruiting an innovative civil technician who will assist civil engineer in the design and manufacturing of Spun Pre Stressed Concrete Poles by monitoring the quality control of materials of the poles to meet the industry standards and client specifications and maintain accurate records of designs, tests and production process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Estimate cost of materials and production of poles.
• Testing materials that will be used in constructions in materials laboratory
• Inspecting quality of materials before use.
• Take sample of materials and test in-house and outside labs for quality, check, this can involve taking sand, aggregate, PC wires samples and analyzing them, as well as conducting tests on finished poles and elements such as concrete.
• Advice civil Engineer on all matters relates to quality assurance of materials, production process and finished products.
• Help civil Engineer to plan and design batch concrete ratios.
• Report to civil engineer on the progress of a project
• Ensuring that best materials are purchased at the best prices
• Reporting challenges encountered in replicating plans on site to supervisor and other workers
• Perform other duties as may be required by the civil engineer and Management.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Diploma /certificate in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure
• The ability to solve problems
• The ability to follow minimum safety requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing, and via electronic devices
• Ability to read and understand and interpret written instructions and different designs of structural and architecture drawings
• Ability to provide detailed written report to superior
• An appropriate certification from government approving body
• Ability to operate mixing plants to produce batches of concrete from cement, sand, aggregate, water and other ingredients.
• Ability to design concrete ratio to meet client specifications.
