Job summary
Top Talented Recruits, on behalf of our client, we are looking for A chef responsible to prepare a consistent, high quality food product and ensure courteous, professional, efficient
and flexible service that supports the outlet’s operating concept and standards.
Duties and responsibilities
Operational
√To be able to cook all food items on the outlet menu including hot and cold kitchen.
√ To follow standard recipe and presentation guidelines as established in the Recipe Book.
√To prepare food products according to the standard required including health and safety
requirements.
√To minimize waste to help ensure that the outlet’s food cost is in line with budget.
√To be flexible wherever possible in meeting special requests from guests for specific food
preparation methods and ingredients.
√To maintain the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
√To work in a supportive and flexible manner with other employees and other departments
√To be up to date with the availability of seasonal and new products on the market.
√To eliminate out of stock by maintaining minimum reorder level and collaborating with the
Purchasing team.
√To collect feedback from guests after each meal for improvement.
√To treat all operating equipment and supplies carefully to minimize damage and reduce
wastage.
Other Duties
√To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
√To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel
and department grooming standards.
√To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
√To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
√To understand and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies
and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
√To comply with local legislation as required.
√To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
√To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and
responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other
departments/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs.
√To attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.
Requirements
√High school Diploma in Hotel Management/ Hospitality or any related field
√2 years working as a chef in a café, restaurant and hotel
√Knowledge of International menu
√Experience to present a wide range of dishes
√Independently handle a full shift on their own
√Flexible
√Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
√Excellent time management abilities
√Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 48
Level of Education: Professional Certificate
