Description/Details
Precision Air is seeking four skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to ensure the safety and airworthiness of its fleet. The primary purpose of this role is to perform assigned repair and replacement tasks on aircraft and aircraft systems in compliance with Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) regulations and company procedures, all while maintaining high safety standards and optimizing costs to uphold schedule integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, including service bulletins, to ensure timely aircraft release within planned downtime.
- Perform repair, replacement, overhaul, modification, and testing of aircraft components and tools for optimal turnaround time.
- Maintain cabin utilities and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems to enhance customer satisfaction and comfort.
- Identify and requisition required parts accurately.
- Report incidents/accidents as per company procedures and maintain accurate records of all maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate aircraft towing operations with tower/apron control for safe and timely movements.
- Conduct security checks as per the Maintenance Procedures Manual.
- Coach internship students to enhance their proficiency.
- Work towards acquiring basic licenses and adhere to the company’s safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Reference the Safety Management Manual (SMM) Doc ref. PW/CM/002, Chapter 1.6.2-1.6.3, and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
- At least three years of working experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and TCAA regulations.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Human factors knowledge, aircraft type course, and airside safety training.
Qualifications Required:
- Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline with an approved apprenticeship program.
- Minimum of one year of experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Proficiency in computer applications and knowledge of TCAA regulations, human factors, aircraft type course, and airside safety training.
